FESTIVAL OF IBERO-AMERICAN CULTURE

The arrangement of the First Festival of Ibero-American Culture in Russia in October of 2000, arose great interest among the music lovers and found support rendered by the State and Public organizations both in Russia and in Ibero - American countries. More than 300 dancers, musicians, actors, painters, sculptures and photographers from Latin America, Spain, Portugal and Russia joined the Festival ventures.

In future the Festival shall become a constant feature of the culture life not only in Moscow but also in other regions of our country. The idea of the Festival stipulates participation of prominent persons of art, stars and also young performers, composers, painters. Such combination will secure new artistic image and open new horizons for acquaintance with the unique and old culture of the Ibero-American countries.

The fact that the Festival is included into the "Parade of Milleniums" program realized by the Committee for the meeting of third millenium, within the ranks of the Federal program agreed by President of Russia Mr. Vladimir Putin and the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II, secures it a special meaning.

The Second Festival of Ibero-American Culture is scheduled to be held in October, 2001. The co-founders of the Festival are Association of Tchaikovsky Competition Stars, the Moscow State Academic Philharmony, Committee for the meeting of the third millenium of Administration of the President of Russia.
