Alexander Rudin (born in 1960) is a musician who follows the in the traditions of music masters whose personal emotional interpretations exploit technicality for the means rather than the end of their performance. These remarkable qualities - with their poetic, emotional sincerety - involve the listener in an intimate, personal exchange.

Alexander's extraordinary talents became apparent from the very beginning of his career - at the Gnessins Secondary Special Music School. There he initiated his studies with the famous music teacher Lev Evgrafov. Following the urge to broaden his musicality to its furthest possibility, Rudin continued its development byu graduating the Gnessins' Music Academy as a pianist under Y.Ponizovkin - and later the Moscow Conservatoire in conducting under Prof. Dmitry Kitaenko.

Alexander Rudin is the laureate of the International Competition "Concertino Prague" (Grand Prix), International Bach Competition in Leipzig (First Prize), International Gaspar Cassado Competition in Florence (Italy, 1979, 2^nd Prize), also the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow ( 1978, 3^rd prize, 1982 - 2^nd Prize).

Alexander Rudin tours a lot, among his guest appearances are performances with Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the St. Cecilia Orchestra of Rome, the Royal Philharmonic in London, Bayerische Oper, Moscow Philharmonic and St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow Virtuosi, etc., participates in music festivals in Edinbourgh, Kuhmo, Istanbul, etc. M-tro Rudin is the chief conductor and artistic director of the famous chamber orchestra "Musica Viva". Works with the Russian Symphony Orchestra.

Now Alexander Rudin fills the role of guest professor of cello at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki (Finland) and in the Moscow Conservatoire.
